Comprehensive Pediatric Primary Care
Primary care is the foundation of quality health care for children. An effective medical home must address the health, cognitive, and inter-related psychosocial challenges that at-risk children face. Primary care for rural and urban families must provide a medical home that addresses the inter-related health, cognitive, psychosocial, and behavioral issues.
An overarching goal of Central Florida Health Care is to establish a culture that encourages providers and staff to embrace a holistic view of children within their family and cultural contexts and address the full range of issues that impact children’s well-being.
Same-day Appointments
When unexpected illnesses occur, we offer same-day appointments when clinically appropriate. Each day, our pediatricians leave part of their schedules open to accommodate patients who need an immediate appointment. Parents still have the option to schedule in advance.
Immunization
Immunization (vaccination) is a way of creating immunity to certain diseases by using small amounts of a killed or weakened microorganism. The risks of vaccinations are small compared with the health risks associated with the diseases they’re intended to prevent. We follow recommended schedules, including guidance from the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Well-Childcare
Well-Childcare visits provide vaccinations, sports physicals, and an opportunity for your pediatrician to assess physical growth and development. Developmental milestones are also evaluated.
