What is your patient care philosophy?

My philosophy of care, is to treat each patient the same way I would treat family, caring with compassion.

How does your work improve lives?

“I am lucky to be in a field where I support women during their pregnancies or earlier, and then through the whole spectrum of women care. I see myself as a cheerleader. My career is fulfilling because I get to see the difference I try to make, and that is the reward. I love the continuity of care across a woman’s life. I have been blessed to deliver a baby, and then years later, deliver her baby!"

What are some interesting facts about you?

Hard to believe now, but I used to be a sprinter in high school. I love history and travel. I am a grandfather to two boys. My career has given me a lot, and I like to give back. I undertake medical missions to Ghana. I went to medical school in Ghana, West Africa, where I was born. Then I trained as an OBGYN in England, before completing a second residency in Connecticut. So, I am double boarded in OBGYN in the U.K. and U.S.
